Job Description for TGMS and Control System Technician
JOB SUMMARY
Toxic Gas Monitoring System and Control System Technician duties
will include the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and calibration
of the site's toxic gas monitoring system as well as control
systems like the FOUP Tracking System.
This position will initially receive training during the day shift
position, 7:00 am - 4:00pm. The position could then be shifted to
hours that allow duties to be performed while tool support is
on-site. The shift may also be adjusted as business conditions
dictate.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ability to troubleshoot the toxic gas monitoring system (TGMS)
components and be able to track and ship back such units or sensors
to their associated manufacturer.
Assist with life safety testing of all tools connected to the
TGMS.
Support shutdown activities as needed.
Support operational issues as needed, such as gas detector, GIB and
Scrubber faults.
Position will assume a support role for the personnel that
interface with the TGMS including ordering parts, inventories of
supplies, training personnel and equipment preventive
maintenance.
Provide support and maintenance for the site's FOUP Tracking
system. Duties to include hardware and networking support for
gateways, switches, computers and related equipment to maintain a
functional FOUP Tracking system.
Provide backup technician support for control systems on-site.
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements for TGMS and Control System Technician
The position requires an associate's degree in technology, systems,
engineering or related field or equivalent educational and
professional experience and training in a highly technical
environment plus a minimum of 2 years' experience in
instrumentation and controls or electrical/mechanical maintenance.
Candidates must be willing to work on morning or overnight shifts
and be available for after-hours support calls.
Must have the ability to climb ladders and wear personal protective
equipment.
Must work well independently and as part of a team; be a
self-starter; possess good time management and project management
skills; have the ability to set priorities for multiple tasks.
Computer proficient in Microsoft products; possess good written and
oral communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills.
Have the ability to process new information and formulate a written
systematic plan for development and implementation.
This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a
background check; this position may require annual background
checks.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Prior industrial networking, gas monitoring maintenance or
semiconductor tool maintenance experience.
Programmable logic controller system maintenance and
troubleshooting.
Have the capability to maintain active Emergency Response Team
(ERT) membership.

Salary Range: $25- $35/ hr
