Job Description:
A company is looking for an Insurance Reimbursement Specialist
II responsible for managing insurance and government payer balances
for hospital and professional accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze A/R reports and perform collection follow-up on outstanding
receivables
Identify and correct coding and billing errors, and appeal
improperly adjudicated claims
Support various departments by providing A/R, denials, and appeals
information
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma preferred; Billing Specialist Certification or
Associate's degree preferred
5 years of professional experience in a hospital or medical office
with knowledge of payer types
At least 2 years of hands-on experience processing 1500 or UB
billing forms
Understanding of medical terminology and experience with EMR
billing systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel and
Word
