- Industrial Engineers apply advanced problem-solving techniques
and Lean Manufacturing principles to develop and optimize factories
to maximize throughput, efficiency, and value.
- Industrial Engineers are involved in Capacity Planning,
Manpower Planning, Factory Layout, Line Balancing, Simulation and
Process Modeling, Labor Performance Analysis, Process Mapping, and
Project Management.What you will do:
- Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify
undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput
constraints.
- Apply Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate
constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality,
and on-time delivery goals.
- Create process flows, value stream maps, pareto charts,
spaghetti diagrams, and CAD drawings to graphically show
manufacturing processes, the movement of material, the exchange of
information, and key metrics.
- Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on factory expansion,
manufacturing technology insertion, infrastructure improvements,
obsolescence mitigation, and the integration of new
capabilities.
- Partner with project managers and other functions to execute
projects that modify the factory footprint, change the layout of
factory equipment, and/or add new capability.
- Support competitive bids, factory proposals, business case
development for future investments, and Make/Buy/Where
analyses.
- Participate in factory safety and ergonomic
improvements.Qualifications you must have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 2 years of
applicable industrial engineering experience or applicable master's
degree
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued
security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as
only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience with CAD softwareQualifications We Prefer
- Experience with simulation modeling and capacity analysis
- Experience with factory layout and work cell design
/optimization
- Experience with project management
- Experience with CAD software
- Six Sigma principles
- Lean manufacturing principles

salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary
range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all
experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an
offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and
associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience,
location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may
